Bed bugs are annoying little insects that can even crawl onto your sofa or bed while hiding under your clothes. Their bites are unpleasant when they come into contact with your skin, but to avoid them, you have now found the best solution. Our Anti Bed Bugs mattress cover provides complete protection, as it fights harmful organisms in the long term thanks to Greenfirst technology.

The appearance of bed bugs and mites in mattresses used to be a problem only in Anglo-Saxon countries, such as the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom, but nowadays, even European hotels are looking for solutions to prevent them.

But what are bed bugs?

An unpleasant but easily noticeable insect: it does not like light and hides in the most hidden and unimaginable places in the house, such as mattresses and sofas. It feeds on human blood, so if bitten, red spots and itching may appear on the skin. It is mainly active at night, it does not fly, but can move for meters, and its bite is painless. The positive thing is that despite the bite, diseases are not transmitted through blood.

These insects are often carried by guests (through contact with their clothes or luggage), so there is a risk of their appearance not only in budget accommodations, but also in luxury hotels or self-catering accommodations.

The Anti Bed Bugs material has been tested to protect the sleeping person and kill not only bed bugs but also mites.

Our mattress cover fabric has a soft surface, made from pure cellulose fibers, sourced from eucalyptus trees. The wood fibers, thanks to their internal cavernous structure and porosity, quickly absorb and remove sweat and moisture (ten times better than cotton), so the material is always dry and fresh to the touch. This way, the fibers are able to absorb the essential oil treatment better and deeper, and the resistance to washing is also greater, as there are no chemical binders.
Wood has a natural, thermostatically controlled ability to maintain body temperature at a constant level (improving sleep quality), as shown by specially conducted tests.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our experts will be happy to answer all your questions.

01 What mattress do you recommend?

Foam or spring? This is one of the most common questions, but of course, the answer is not that simple, as it matters a lot what kind of mattress is currently at home and what the customer is used to. Essentially, the brand does not determine the suitability of the mattress. We rather recommend buying a firmer mattress, as it can be made more comfortable later (with a topper). Mattress shopping cannot be "one-size-fits-all"; everyone should choose a mattress individually, adapting to their life situation and physical needs and endowments. Of course, we are happy to help with this (too).

02 What is a mattress topper good for?

We recommend toppers exclusively for increasing comfort.

If you choose a firmer mattress that puts pressure on your hips or shoulders, a quality topper can improve your comfort. The optimal support for your spine will remain, but your hips and shoulders will feel more comfortable and relaxed on the mattress.

03 Should I use a mattress protector:

Naturally, yes, it is worth it, as it is easier to wash than a mattress cover. Furthermore, it perfectly absorbs the moisture generated during the night – which our body emits due to normal bodily functions/illness/sweating. A mattress protector is especially important for young children due to nighttime accidents. Thewaterproof mattress protector was developed for this purpose.

04 Should I buy a hardbox bed or a boxspring?

Since these beds still need mattresses, we recommend the Hardbox bed. Mattresses require a firm base, which the Hardbox bed provides, as its top surface is firm.

Unlike Boxspring beds, which have bonnell springs in their structure, they do not provide a firm base. In terms of appearance, there is no difference between the two bed types.

05 Should I buy a high or low mattress?

This is a collapsible content section used to hold additional information or context about the heading above.

06 Should I buy a high or low mattress?

We are proponents of taller mattresses. Taller support = greater comfort. Both for pocket spring mattresses and cold foam mattresses. Our experience shows that a mattress at least 20 cm high is ideal, but purchases indicate that more and more people are looking for mattresses that are 25-30 cm high as well.

07 Should I rotate the mattress?

Rotating is unavoidable! We recommend it every 1-2 months. We recommend a hard, straight support because sleeping on the mattress from above presses and dimples the affected side, but the bottom of the mattress remains straight, and after turning over we get an even surface again. Rotating makes the mattress more comfortable and lasts longer.

08 Why wool? Isn't that just for older people?

Wool is a natural material that has been used for thousands of years, both in clothing and for sleeping.

Our bodies still react to external stimuli in the same way as they did in previous millennia: they sweat, feel cold, or feel hot. Wool aids our sleeping comfort; it is an excellent moisture and heat conductor (and regulator). Additionally, it is an extremely good thermal insulator.

It keeps you warm on cold winter nights, yet it can release heat, keeping you cool in the summer. Its breathability helps prevent excessive sweating and the development of unpleasant odours, and it inhibits the proliferation of bacteria and mites. It also has a beneficial effect on the environment. You don't have to worry about microplastic emissions that would harm nature.
