Frequently asked questions, reassuring answers
Foam or spring? This is one of the most common questions, but of course the answer is not that simple, as it matters a lot what kind of mattress you currently have at home, what you are used to. Basically, the brand does not determine the suitability of a mattress. We recommend buying a firmer mattress, as we can make it even more comfortable later (with a mattress topper). Buying a mattress cannot be a “template”, everyone should choose a mattress individually, adapting to their life situation and physical needs and abilities. Of course, we are happy to help with this (too).
We recommend mattress toppers solely to increase comfort.
If you choose a firmer mattress and it puts pressure on your hips or shoulders, you can improve your comfort with a quality mattress topper. Your spine will still have optimal support, but your hips and shoulders will feel more comfortable and relaxed when you spend time on the mattress.
Of course, it is worth it, as it is easier to wash than a mattress cover. In addition, it absorbs the moisture produced during the night – which our body emits due to basic reasons/illness/sweating – excellently. A mattress protector is especially important for small children, due to nighttime accidents. The waterproof mattress protector was developed for this purpose.
Since these beds still need a mattress, we recommend the Hardbox bed . Mattresses need hard support, and the Hardbox bed provides this, as the top of this bed is hard.
Unlike Boxsprings, since the structure of Boxspring beds contains bonell springs, there is no hard support. In terms of appearance, there is no difference between the two bed types.
We are advocates of higher mattresses. Higher support = greater comfort. Both for spring mattresses and cold foam mattresses . In our experience, a mattress with a minimum height of 20 cm is ideal, but purchases show that more and more people are looking for mattresses with a height of 25-30 cm.
Rotating is unavoidable! We recommend it every 1-2 months. We recommend a hard, straight support because sleeping on the mattress from above presses and dimples the affected side, but the bottom of the mattress remains straight, and after turning over we get an even surface again. Rotating makes the mattress more comfortable and lasts longer.
Wool is a natural material that has been used for thousands of years, both for clothing and for sleeping .
Our body still reacts to external influences in the same way as it did in previous millennia: it sweats, it feels cold, it feels hot. Wool helps us sleep comfortably, it is a very good conductor (or regulator) of moisture and heat. In addition, it is an extremely good thermal insulator.
It keeps you warm on cold winter nights, but at the same time it can release heat, keeping you cool in the summer. Its breathability helps to avoid excessive sweating and unpleasant odors, and it inhibits the growth of bacteria and mites. It also has a beneficial effect on the environment. You don't have to worry about microplastic emissions, which would harm nature.
