Good to know!

The heart of the mattress is made up of 130 mm high, 2.2 mm thick, individually sewn into a bag. This so-called bag spring system ensures outstanding point elasticity – meaning the mattress only gives way where it is actually loaded. This not only increases the feeling of comfort, but also extends the life of the mattress, as the springs work independently of each other, so there is less chance of wear and tear and structural deformation.

For maximum comfort, the mattress features a 20 mm thick Aircell comfort layer, which perfectly combines softness and proper support. The 5 ergonomic zones support the natural position of the spine and reduce pressure points around the shoulders and hips.

Without disturbing vibrations – ideal for couples

Another great advantage of the pocket spring system is that it has excellent motion-absorbing properties – so if someone moves around next to you at night, you will hardly feel it. This is especially beneficial for couples.

Rottex mattresses are made in Hungary, so not only is the quality guaranteed, but you also support the domestic economy with your purchase.
If you are looking for a long-lasting, comfortable and reliable mattress that truly supports your body, the Rottex pocket sprung mattress will be the perfect choice – whether for your home or hotel environment.

Try it and experience the difference – restful sleep starts here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our experts will be happy to answer all your questions.

01 What mattress do you recommend?

Foam or spring? This is one of the most common questions, but of course, the answer is not that simple, as it matters a lot what kind of mattress is currently at home and what the customer is used to. Essentially, the brand does not determine the suitability of the mattress. We rather recommend buying a firmer mattress, as it can be made more comfortable later (with a topper). Mattress shopping cannot be "one-size-fits-all"; everyone should choose a mattress individually, adapting to their life situation and physical needs and endowments. Of course, we are happy to help with this (too).

02 What is a mattress topper good for?

We recommend toppers exclusively for increasing comfort.

If you choose a firmer mattress that puts pressure on your hips or shoulders, a quality topper can improve your comfort. The optimal support for your spine will remain, but your hips and shoulders will feel more comfortable and relaxed on the mattress.

03 Should I use a mattress protector:

Naturally, yes, it is worth it, as it is easier to wash than a mattress cover. Furthermore, it perfectly absorbs the moisture generated during the night – which our body emits due to normal bodily functions/illness/sweating. A mattress protector is especially important for young children due to nighttime accidents. Thewaterproof mattress protector was developed for this purpose.

04 Should I buy a hardbox bed or a boxspring?

Since these beds still need mattresses, we recommend the Hardbox bed. Mattresses require a firm base, which the Hardbox bed provides, as its top surface is firm.

Unlike Boxspring beds, which have bonnell springs in their structure, they do not provide a firm base. In terms of appearance, there is no difference between the two bed types.

05 Should I buy a high or low mattress?

This is a collapsible content section used to hold additional information or context about the heading above.

06 Should I buy a high or low mattress?

We are proponents of taller mattresses. Taller support = greater comfort. Both for pocket spring mattresses and cold foam mattresses. Our experience shows that a mattress at least 20 cm high is ideal, but purchases indicate that more and more people are looking for mattresses that are 25-30 cm high as well.

07 Should I rotate the mattress?

Rotating is unavoidable! We recommend it every 1-2 months. We recommend a hard, straight support because sleeping on the mattress from above presses and dimples the affected side, but the bottom of the mattress remains straight, and after turning over we get an even surface again. Rotating makes the mattress more comfortable and lasts longer.

08 Why wool? Isn't that just for older people?

Wool is a natural material that has been used for thousands of years, both in clothing and for sleeping.

Our bodies still react to external stimuli in the same way as they did in previous millennia: they sweat, feel cold, or feel hot. Wool aids our sleeping comfort; it is an excellent moisture and heat conductor (and regulator). Additionally, it is an extremely good thermal insulator.

It keeps you warm on cold winter nights, yet it can release heat, keeping you cool in the summer. Its breathability helps prevent excessive sweating and the development of unpleasant odours, and it inhibits the proliferation of bacteria and mites. It also has a beneficial effect on the environment. You don't have to worry about microplastic emissions that would harm nature.
